CMS 1009

This graphite unit arrived from the Johnson & Johnson Co.'s Puerto Rico facility for servicing and repairs. Although the graphite tubes and tubesheets allow its use in an extremely corrosive operating environment, graphite is a delicate material to handle.

To insure safe overseas shipment of this fragile unit, CMS brought in an expert in handling museum antiques to construct a specially designed crate to protect the unit from the vibration and rough handling incurred during transit.
